The Only Mortal in Heaven — Episode 4: Now the Angel Wants Him Too

Episode 4 opens on a sweeter scene that hides a sharper edge. The angel shows up with fresh clothes and a shy smile, waits outside while William changes, then asks if he wants a walk, as long as he stays where she can see him. When he finally asks her name, she gives him a single word: 'Angel.' Hand in hand, they climb through white marble halls toward the angels' quarter, while two demons whisper behind them about the human.

Down below lies the demons' side, and Angel tells him not to even think about it. Then comes her confession. When he touched her yesterday, mana poured into her, a lot of it. Mana is what they live on, the way food keeps him going. Food. William has heard that word before. She leads him to their most precious place, a glowing pool of light, and right there William starts to cough.
