The Only Mortal in Heaven — Episode 2: She Came Back After Dark

Episode 2 drops William into the Citadel of Aeris, a city where angels and demons live side by side. His guardians confess they watched the car hit him and could not stop it. Then the angel lays a hand on his arm and her fingers start to glow. One touch, and that happens. So what exactly is he to them? The answer is one chilling word: 'Food.'

Both guardians are sent out so the human can rest. The angel swears she will come back and explain everything. The demoness only smiles, as if to say we'll see. Alone, William tries to wrap his head around a world where angels and demons are real and he is on the menu. Then night falls, the candle flickers and the curtain shifts. Asmodea slips inside in red straps with a wicked grin and an offer he never saw coming. 'Quiet, William. You'll like it.'
